Microsoft Ignite Recap

Microsoft Ignite is an annual gathering for IT professionals and developers where people can explore the latest tools and technologies to get a peek at what's next and what Microsoft’s teams are focused on.

This year’s session took place in Orlando, Florida at the Orange County Convention Center and for those who have heard of Ignite but haven’t had the opportunity to attend in person we suggest you do! A few hot tips about Ignite: 

1. Stay in touch via Social Media: Traversing the grounds of Ignite can be overwhelming. Take a break and hang out with fellow Igniters but remember to check social media for announcements and tips! Microsoft maintains a clear stream of news during the event for participants.
2. Live Action Sessions: Guest speakers always provide the best insight and examples live. If you are lucky, approach the speakers afterwards and have some of your questions answered. Networking opportunities are huge at Ignite.
3. Expo! Expo! Expo!: Sessions provide valuable insight with Microsoft and community experts however to get some real face time with speakers and practitioners of the technology, a visit or three to the expo area of Ignite is an absolute must. Visit the booths for vendors and engineers to have your questions answered and build understanding of what exists or what is to come.

The Intelligent Cloud
Tech intensity and artificial intelligence (AI) is in the air! Microsoft’s focus on an intelligent cloud platform and commitment to offer organizations invaluable opportunities to build digital appetites and capabilities is stronger than ever. You’ve probably seen some of the recent AI integrations already but may not have recognized it for what it is and a great example of this would be intelligent search capabilities of Microsoft 365.
